Ms. Jackie Brooks is a Professional Engineer Licensed in the State of Florida for the past 20 years and Certified with NCEES so that she is available as a credible source across the United States.

    Before you can choose a career, you have to know who YOU are, and what gifts you have been given to share with the world.

    What you will learn in these modules:

    • Your preferred learning style

    • Create a vision board

    • Explore your interests and goals

    • Complete the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessment

    • Consultation to review MBTI results

  • Description of this course:

    I’m not going to lie…a STEM career is not for wimps!  You make mistakes and you get embarrassed.  You try again and you still fail.  How will you get back up again?  Who or what will you stand on when all hell is breaking loose and you’re struggling to pull yourself up out of the muck and mire?  Let’s dig deep and find out.

    • Use Your Power Source to Overcome.

  • Description of this course:

    The number and variety of careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) are vast!  I remember asking myself in high school, “How will I know what to major in in college? How do I know which one to pick? It was a very stressful time for me. Let me show you all the options available, along with those best suited for your personality type.

    • Background of the Strong Interest Inventory® Assessment

    • How the assessment works

    • Consultation with Ms. Jackie to review your preferred work personality

meet ms. Jackie brooks!

STEM Paths CEO and Consultant

When you first meet Ms. Jackie, you will notice right away that there are many layers to this woman! What I can tell you right away is Ms. Jackie loves her Dad. She calls God “Dad” and has since she was a young girl. They are close, and every time you meet with her, just know that He will be the foundation of every discussion you have together.

Academically, Ms. Jackie obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. She also has a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. She is currently an active Professional Engineer and a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner.

Ms. Jackie became an engineer to ensure she would be financially stable, but she pursued the Educational Leadership experience because she wanted to understand where the breakdown was occurring which blocked more minorities and women from completing S.T.E.M. degrees.

Professionally, Ms. Brooks has worked in a variety of engineering specialty areas such as: soil and groundwater cleanup, hazardous waste compliance and disposal, nuclear waste characterization and disposal, landfill operations, underground storage tank compliance, stormwater management, emergency response, and disaster preparedness. 

These experiences encompassed different fields: research & development, quality assurance, plant operations, new technology development, training, management, field inspection, and technical writer.
